About the Role

To fill this role, we are looking for a People Operations Specialist who will be dedicated to our German entity. As People Operations Specialist you are a playing a central role in supporting our Business Partners in administrative and legal matters. You are responsible for developing and maintaining all People Operations topics, preparing the payroll and will be an active part in securing the organization’s people and culture policies and procedures. This role is based in Berlin.

Key Responsibilities:

- People operations

  • Preparing contracts, amendments, reference letters and certificates
  • Maintenance of personnel files (physical and digital)
  • Maintenance of personnel-relevant data in our HR systems
  • Processing of incoming mail

- Payroll

  • Preparation and follow-up of the monthly payroll

  • Communication with health insurance companies and authorities

  • Staying up to date in labour law topics and creation of internal guidelines to comply with them

  • Takeover of exciting People projects

Requirements and Qualifications:
  • University degree with specialization in P&C or other relevant education
  • Previous experience in a comparable role, preferably within a medium-sized business and in an international environment
  • Strong knowledge of German employment law and preferably BetrVG; proper knowledge in German social security; solid understanding of payroll
  • Analytical and structured approach, pro-active working method and hands-on mentality
  • High level of planning and organization skills; strong multi-tasking and prioritization skills
  • Attention to detail
  • High level of responsibility and commitment
  • German on native level. Excellent verbal and written English skills is a must, since company language is English
